Reviving an Iconic Brand Through New Leadership and Brand-led Storytelling

Challenge
True Religion wanted to reinvigorate excitement among both the business and media communities as it embarked on a remarkable turnaround under the leadership of CEO Michael Buckley.

Strategy
We developed storytelling opportunities to showcase True Religion’s brand evolution, focusing on its devoted consumer base and exciting brand and talent collaborations, including Supreme, 2 Chainz, Megan Thee Stallion and Anitta. We also established a thought leadership platform for the CEO and executive team, positioning them as credible operators and visionaries amid the brand’s reinvention.

Results
Our strategy drove top-tier coverage, including in CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Bloomberg and Forbes, and established the CEO and leadership team as respected voices on business transformation. During this period, the company grew to nearly half a billion dollars in sales, underscoring an incredible, sustained resurgence.
