Building a New Commerce Conference into Retail’s Must-Attend Event

Challenge
Shoptalk launched as a new entrant in a crowded retail events landscape, with the ambition to build immediate awareness, drive attendance, and attract high-caliber speakers for its inaugural event in Las Vegas. The challenge was not only to debut a new conference, but to quickly establish credibility and relevance by shaping a compelling agenda and securing influential industry voices.

Strategy
We partnered closely with the Shoptalk founding team to define a clear launch narrative, positioning the conference as a forward-looking platform on the future of retail and commerce. We were instrumental in shaping the agenda and content strategy while leading speaker curation and executive outreach. Through key industry forums, including NRF, we facilitated introductions between the Shoptalk founder and senior retail executives—securing high-profile speakers from leading brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Crocs, Cole Haan, Express, GUESS, Michael Kors, Sephora and many others to ensure high-impact programming from day one. 

Results
The launch successfully established Shoptalk as a must-attend industry event. Now in its ninth year, Shoptalk has become a go-to conference for understanding the future of retail, drawing more than 10,000 attendees in 2025. We continue to support Shoptalk by helping curate speakers and host media events, reinforcing its position as a premier platform for retail innovation and insight.
