Establishing Lily AI as a Category Leader
Challenge
As e-commerce scaled, many brands struggled to recreate the intuitive, emotional intelligence of in-store shopping online. Lily AI had built a category-defining AI platform that translates product data into consumer-centric language at scale but needed to shift the conversation from product features to long-term category leadership while elevating its co-founder and CEO, Purva Gupta, as a visionary industry leader.
Strategy
We developed a proactive thought-leadership and storytelling program to position Lily AI as a foundational technology shaping the future of customer-centric commerce. Our strategy focused on elevating Gupta as a forward-looking female founder, translating Lily AI’s impact with leading brands such as Bloomingdale’s and J.Crew into broader industry insights, and reinforcing credibility through high-impact media, speaking platforms and awards.
Results
The campaign successfully established Lily AI as a category leader at the intersection of AI, retail and consumer behavior. We secured top-tier coverage in The New York Times, Axios, Bloomberg TV, Inc., Vogue Business, and WWD as well as speaking roles for Gupta at Shoptalk, the Retail Influencer CEO Forum and Shoptalk Europe. The program culminated in national recognition with a 2024 Inc. Female Founders award, reinforcing Lily AI’s momentum and long-term leadership narrative.
